Staff Accolades in the Community

Our staff and volunteers at Cary Area EMS are often unsung heroes that put their lives at risk everyday for those in the community. Whether it is answering a 911 call, presenting to a group of young people about the field of EMS, standing by at a special event, or participating in our flu shot clinic our team always rises to the occasion.

Two of our full-time staff who serve as Division Chiefs at Cary Area EMS were each recognized by organizations in the local community. Marion Houle, EMT-Paramedic, was recognized as an EMS responder for the Hometown Heroes program with the North Carolina Automobile Dealers Association (NCADA). Houle has been a member with Cary Area EMS for 27 years and has served in a variety of roles within the agency including as a tactical medic and on our board of directors. He was recognized for his keen attention to detail and work toward making Cary Area EMS a safety first organization.

Chasidy Kearns, EMT-Paramedic, received the Cary American Legion Post 67’s EMT of the Year award. The Cary American Legion post selects one EMS person a year to recognize for their efforts as as a public servant. Chasidy oversees our training and community outreach programs for the agency. She has been a member of Cary Area EMS for 19 years.
