The NC Peer Support Team helps to provide assistance to first responders in need. North Carolina Firefighter Peer Support is defined as assistance provided by a trained individual or group of trained firefighters and emergency responders who answer the call to their brothers and sisters in need, regardless of the need.

Cary Area Emergency Medical Services offered a free flu clinic on Saturday, October 28, 2017, to the public starting at 8:00 am at our main station on 107 Medcon Court, Cary NC. To date, we have accommodated almost 500 people. If you are still in need of the flu vaccine, please contact us. You must be at least 9 years old to receive the vaccine. For the third year, we asked participants to bring a non-perishable or a can of food to benefit the Central Carolina Food Bank. This has been a huge success and was no different this year. Autism Awareness Program

Cary Area Emergency Medical Services launched a new community outreach program in May of 2017. It is an Autism Awareness Program for providers. We created stickers to provide to the public. With greater awareness, these stickers can help alert EMS, Fire and Police responders that they may encounter a patient with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) when responding to a call. These stickers are available at no charge on all of our ambulances and at our main station at 107 Medcon Court, Cary NC.
