In such cases, the person nearest to the victim is often a bystander with no medical expertise. If those present at the scene are able to provide CPR to the victim promptly, the chances of survival are significantly increased.

2017 Citizens’ Academy Just Wrapped Up

Each April this four-week educational program provides an introduction to emergency medical services in an interactive environment. Instructors, all professional staff members with Cary Area EMS, teach practical sessions about EMS and what function EMS plays in today’s society.
