#GetToKnowCaryEMS – Question of the Month

Cary Area EMS is launching an initiative to help the community get to know us better. Each month we will ask our staff a question, sometimes humorous and sometimes serious. Our January question is where the staff likes to eat when they are on shift. The locations may surprise you.  Our staff works hard to serve the community and respond when you need us the most. We know when the 911 call comes, those in need are not interested in learning about us personally, so please take the time to get to know us now. ...

CPR Classes Announced

Learning CPR can literally save a life. Statistics indicate that 70%-80% of cardiac arrest cases occur either in the home or at public places. In such cases, the person nearest to the victim is often a bystander with no medical expertise. If those present at the scene are able to provide CPR to the victim promptly, the chances of survival are significantly increased.    Dates and Times Date Start Time End Time 2/27/18 7:00 PM 10:00 PM 3/24/18 9:00 AM 12:00 PM 4/12/18 7:00 PM 10:00 PM 6/26/18 7:00 PM 10:00 PM 8/28/18 7:00 PM 10:00 PM 10/23/18 7:00 PM 10:00 PM 11/3/18 9:00 AM...

Autism Awareness Program

Cary Area Emergency Medical Services launched a new community outreach program in May of 2017. It is an Autism Awareness Program for providers. We created stickers to provide to the public. With greater awareness, these stickers can help alert EMS, Fire and Police responders that they may encounter a patient with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) when responding to a call. These stickers are available at no charge on all of our ambulances and at our main station at 107 Medcon Court, Cary NC. We hope these stickers will be placed in visible spots like windows, bedroom and front doors to aid...
