Cary Area EMS

Have you ever wanted to help your fellow man, but haven't known how? Have you ever wanted to visit the EMS station, but didn't have a reason? Have you ever felt that you have a pint too much blood coursing through your veins?

I have a solution to all of the above! Come visit us at Cary Area EMS when we partner with the Red Cross to host a blood drive.

Here's some fine print... we can't secure a date in February before we have a minimum commitment from you all. Here at work, we have 10 people that have already pledged to donate. We need at least 20 more people to pledge to donate to make it happen, so please take a moment and let us know if you are interested. If you can't donate but would like to help, share this post far and wide. Let's fill the blood bank!

Thank you so very much!

I consulted the persimmons to see what the weather will be this weekend. When the seed was split open, it showed a little spoon, which means we will be digging out of snow. BUT, the persimmon came from California, so it has no earthly clue what the weather will be here. ...maybe we should send warnings to Califirnia about the imminent danger of snow fall.

If the California persimmon was right, which I refuse to believe, then here is some advice....

1. Have a cooler so you can move food outside in case of a power outage.

2. Snuggle a lot.

3. Stay home unless absolutely necessary. You know, like if you run out of hot chocolate.

4. But really, stay home and enjoy the weather with your family, the roads can be hazardous, and we don't want you to get hurt.

5. EMS will be there if you need us. We might take a bit longer if the roads are bad, but we'll be there.
